NEW YORK – CD Luis Angel Firpo has been invited to replace CD Chalatenango in the CONCACAF Champions League that begins later this month, being offered the berth in the Preliminary Round after its fellow Salvadoran club failed to meet tournament requirements. Each club is required to sign a participation agreement as a condition of playing in the CONCACAF Champions League, and Chalatenango never returned its documents.
