The 2010 Aircel Chennai Open is a tennis tournament played on outdoor hard courts. It is the 15th edition of the Chennai Open, and part of the 250 series of the 2010 ATP World Tour. It will take place at the SDAT Tennis Stadium in Chennai, India, from January 4 through January 10, 2010.
India’s only ATP World Tour tennis tournament, the Aircel Chennai Open, has had its contract extended for two years (2010-11) – guaranteeing more top-flight tennis in the city. The tournament, now in its 15th year, has built a strong legacy for being a “Springboard of Champions”, with former winners including Grand Slam champions Pat Rafter and Carlos Moya.
