Gothia Cup is a youth association football tournament held annually in Gothenburg, Sweden, open for both boys and girls of ages 11 to 19 years. With respect to the number of participants, it is the world's largest football tournament: in 2007, a total of 34,200 players and team leaders from 1585 teams and 65 nations participated. Gothia Cup was started in 1975 with 275 participating teams, and the current champions are Wolverhampton Wanderers[1].

The 2010 FIFA World Cup will be the 19th FIFA World Cup, the premier international football tournament. It is scheduled to take place between 11 June and 11 July 2010 in South Africa. The 2010 FIFA World Cup will be the culmination of a qualification process that began in August 2007 and involved 204 of the 208 FIFA national teams. As such, it matches the 2008 Summer Olympics as the sports event with the most competing nations.

The ICC U19 Cricket World Cup 2010 will take place in New Zealand between 15-30 January. 16 teams will compete in the competition with the 10 ICC Full Members (Australia, Bangladesh, England, India, New Zealand, Pakistan, South Africa, Sri Lanka, West Indies and Zimbabwe) being joined by six qualifiers.
The 2010 competition will be the eighth time that the tournament has taken place, with Australia and Pakistan both having won the event on two occasions.

The 2010 Aircel Chennai Open is a tennis tournament played on outdoor hard courts. It is the 15th edition of the Chennai Open, and part of the 250 series of the 2010 ATP World Tour. It will take place at the SDAT Tennis Stadium in Chennai, India, from January 4 through January 10, 2010.
India’s only ATP World Tour tennis tournament, the Aircel Chennai Open, has had its contract extended for two years (2010-11) – guaranteeing more top-flight tennis in the city.

Tri-Nation Tournament in Bangladesh will start from January 4th, 2010 and ends on January 13th, 2010. Bangladesh, India and Sri Lanka will be playing in this Tri-Nation ODI Series. There will in total of 7 Matches including 1 Final Match.
India will be entering into this Tri-Series after a successful One Day Series against Sri Lanka. They are definate favourites. Sri Lanka will be looking to do well and win the Series. Bangladesh will be looking to do well in the series and upset the two Countries.

The 2010 Brisbane International is a joint ATP and WTA tennis tournament played on outdoor hard courts. It will be the 2nd edition of the tournament and will be played at the Queensland Tennis Centre in Tennyson, Brisbane. The centre court, Pat Rafter Arena is named in honour of Australian tennis hero Patrick Rafter. It will run from January 3 to January 10.[1] It is part of the Australian Open Series in preparation for the first grandslam of the year.

The 2009 ATP World Tour Finals (also known as the 2009 Barclays ATP World Tour Finals) will be held in London, United Kingdom between November 22 and November 29 2009. It will be the first time the O2 arena hosts the ATP World Tour Year-End Singles and Doubles Championships.
Only the best eight singles players and best eight doubles teams of the year will qualify for the prestigious Barclays ATP World Tour Finals, to be played for the first time in 2009 at The O2 arena in London.
