The Littlest Witch” is a family musical about a mischievous little witch who mixes up her holiday with every other season but her own. Eventually, she learns her lesson not to play tricks on anyone until her own special holiday, Halloween.

Each of Mynta’s members are accomplished soloists. Most visible amongst them is Indian tabla-master Fazal Qureshi, the brother of the legendary Zakir Hussain. Violinist Santiago Jimenez hails from Havana, Cuba. Flautist, Dallas Smith hails from Reno, USA. In addition to the silver flute, Dallas plays the clarinet, soprano sax, and the Indian bansuri. The Swedish half of Mynta consists of the elegant guitarist Max Ahman, who composes much of Mynta’s music.

Lokpriya an evening of Ghazals with Hariharan. Besides art and semi-classical music, Indian music also finds expression through light and popular music, which have enormous mass appeal. The concept of rasa-bhava or aesthetic emotion, which is the essence of Indian art philosophy, is unequivocally realised through the abstract medium of sound complemented with meaningful lyrics as in light music forms such as ghazal and geet.

Eastern Fare (an Acoustic Rock Band) from Bangalore is performing at Olio on 2nd Oct, 2010 (Friday).

The slogan for the event is "It's only rock and roll, but we like it" which suggests that this will be a music only event and that the heavily rumored Apple tablet will not be making an appearance.
