This is the 7th Congress of the Toxicology in Developing Countries (7CTDC) and the first to be held in Southern Africa. We have chosen Sun City adjacent to Pilanesberg Game Reserve National Park, South Africa as the venue for the congress to create the opportunity for the delegates to experience first hand the wild beauty of the African Continent. We have also chosen the theme "Harmonization of toxicology issues between developed and developing countries" for this congress. We think many toxicological problems still bedevil developing countries. Environmental pollution due to industrial and agricultural activities and the subsequent contamination of air, water, biota and food have been demonstrated.
